Okay a lot of people have been asking me where to get certain items and rares so I've decided to post 3 easy ways to get rares.
METHOD 1: KILLING BORKS
This is probabely the easiest way to get rares. All you need is a decent combat level and 43 prayer.
1: Go into your quest tab and click on the bork teleport.
2: Turn on protect from melee and start killing!
3: Once you get a really good drop pick it up and click on the backup in the quest tab (or type ::backup)
4: Keep killing them until you have as much rares as you need!
NOTE: It is a wise choice to bring a few prayer potions, as you may be there a while.
METHOD 2: KILLING TOUGHER MONSTERS
This is only for the higher combat players with good experience of fighting tough NPC's. Most of these use all types of attacks so you should be careful of the prayers you use when fighting them.
Requirements: 115+ combat, good armor and weapon, rocktails (code 391), prayer potions (code 2434), and overloads (borks drop these noted)
1) Bring your best weapon and a good special attack weapon (I prefer to use a dds)
2) Choose the monster you are going to fight in the quest tab
3) Almost all of these are aggressive so immidiately turn on your prayer for magic or range before teleporting
4) Be wary of the monsters attacks, as a lot of them can hit very high (especially the Toktz-Jad)
5) Eat when your health is low and always keep your prayer points above 15. Otherwise you may forget to replenish them and die.
6) If you do die, don't worry because you don't lose your items.
7) After a fight keep your prayer on because ythey may respawn before you are fully ready.
As with borks, once you get a good drop, backup your account.
NOTE: The barrelchest boss in the zombie minigame can hit through prayer, but still leave it on because there a lot of zombies that spawn during the fight with him. Also the Toktz-Jad can hit over 80 if you don't have the right prayer on so be careful! It only drops fire capes and about 8k tokkul.
METHOD 3: SKILLING
Yes that's right, skilling can get you rares. That is, indirectly.
It's a simple enough concept that you just make money skilling (though I don't recommend this, as thieving is the only skill trainable right now) then buy the rares from other pllayers.
NOTE: I would only recommend this if you are planning on keeping your combat level at 3. Otherwise I would just kill borks
